The Apocalypse Norse Ragnarok

Norse Ragnarok is said to be one of the best known apocalyptic stories ever told. In the reading it is shown that their will be a rise of darkness at the beginning. Winter storms that will come with no sun to help. People fighting wars just for gain, and turning on family killing them. There will also be destruction brought forth to earth by the gods' enemies. After all of the destruction has come to an end there will be a renewal in life. So much chaos will be happening and people will be turning on each other. First a wolf will rise to rid of the sun and consume the earth while a serpent follows poisoning the earth. The gods will come to fend off these enemies in order to save the world. Both sides the gods and the enemies will kill each other in this great horrific battle. Barely anyone will survive this battle. When years pass the world will be new again with some light in it still some good and some bad as well. This story really shows how when hope is lost that people are willing to turn to dark places. In this story killing each other just for little power and gain. When the Gods fight this can be represented to climate change since all the chaos the enemies brought to the world destroying it. At the very end there is still hope despite all their losses. With just that very little piece of good on earth represents hope.

  1. I liked how well you described the myth. It was very detailed and it told me what the story was about. This myth was one of my favorite because it talks about how the gods are trying everything to protect their world from being destroyed, I liked your comment when you said that when hope it lost people will try to turn to the bad side. This it true because they tend to find a easy way out if it.
